No pain, no gain

Erin had her surgery today.  She's at home and doing well.  Her mother was with her during the surgery and she came to our house to help with the kids.

We'll let the kids sleep in until they want to get up in the morning.  Then we'll give them breakfast and take them to daycare.  After dropping them off I'll have all day to get some stuff done around the house.

Calvin really likes singing "twinkle, twinkle little star".  Calvin is the more vocal of the two older twins.  I hear that it is quite normal to have one that speaks more than the other.  Brayden certainly understands just as much as Calvin.  He just chooses to save his words for when he really needs them.

Calvin and Brayden were very good tonight despite not seeing their mama.  Calvin has become less needy in the past week or so.  There was a point where he wanted to be held almost all the time.  Now he prefers to play than be held.  This is a good thing.  It's hard holding a two year-old and getting anything else accomplished.

Carter and Aubrey were both pretty tired tonight.  They went to bed without any issues.  They have also recently reached the stage where they put everything in their mouth.  Aubrey especially likes to grab one of my fingers and chew on it.  I'm sure it feels good whie she's teething.
