Poopy Picasso

Every artist needs a medium for their artwork.  Apparently Brayden has decided that his poop is his medium.  He put his hands in his dirty diaper again today.  This time it was at daycare.  We'll see if we can figure out how to stop him from continuing this bad habit.

I have to say that one of the things we used for Calvin and Brayden when they were babies and use for Carter and Aubrey are the ITZBEEN timers.  These things are great.  I'm not sure how necessary they are if you only have one baby, but they are a necessity with twins.  I love how you just hit a button and it starts to count the number of minutes since they were last fed, had a diaper change, given medicine, etc.  This way when they get up in the middle of the night we can tell if they are hungry or just need a pacifier based on the amount of time that has passed since they last ate.

I started thinking today about what we will do when the babies get too big for their car seat carriers.  Right now it's fairly easy to snap them in place in either minivan (we have a 2003 Chevy Venture and 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan).  However, when they get too big (which should be in a few months) we'll have to get car seats which will be backwards facing.  We haven't figured out how we'll have two backwards-facing car seats and two forward-facing car seats.  I suppose we'll just have to climb in the back of the minivan to get the kids in their seats.

I think I found out a way to get people to give me a good deal on services.  Today I had someone come out to give me a quote on grinding a number of stumps in my backyard.  When I walked out back I had Carter with me.  The guy seemed to really like Carter.  He even offered to grind all the stumps for free in exchange for Carter.  I had to think about this for a minute since I already had two other boys.  In the end I decided to pay the guy instead of giving him Carter.  But Carter was smiling at him as we were walking around.  Calvin and Brayden realy enjoyed watching the stump grinder from inside the house.

Now that all the stumps are ground I need to get some fill dirt and top soil delivered.  After that is spread I can have the fence installed.  They are supposed to be out in the next two weeks to install the fence so I need to get the dirt spread this weekend.  I hope the weather holds up.
